Onions

Allium cepa

New to our fields in Latvia in 2026, though not new to us. We have grown onions in the Netherlands for over twenty years. The aim is simple: grow onions here so the Baltics rely less on imports, and supply them locally, ready for the shelf.

Grown here, close to home

Most onions on Baltic shelves have travelled a long way to get there. We want to change that. Growing them in Latvia cuts a link out of the chain: a fresher onion at a better price, and a local supplier instead of a distant one.

How we supply and pack

Like our potatoes, we deliver onions in big bags, crates or small net bags of 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25 kg, and we sort them to the size a buyer asks for. Once our storage is in place we can supply supermarkets and the fruit and veg trade the year round.

What our onions are used for

Supermarkets

We aim to supply Baltic supermarkets directly, packed to the size and bag they want, throughout the year once our storage is finished.

Fruit and veg trade

Local greengrocers and wholesalers gain a nearby onion supplier instead of relying on distant imports.

On request

Buyers have already approached us. We can deliver on demand, sorted and in the pack a customer asks for.
